Modern Trousseau

Lilly with Overskirt

Spring 2026

Lilly, worn with its overskirt, is a study in transformation. A lustrous silk-satin overdress reimagines the gown entirely: a softly ruched, gently dipped neckline finished with beaded florets flows into a full A-line skirt and chapel train, while a high front split and a panel of floral lace whisper at what lies beneath. It is two gowns in one — sculptural and grand for the ceremony, then lifted away to reveal the fitted lace beneath for the reception.

More about Modern Trousseau

Modern Trousseau is an American bridal house, founded in 1986, with its own atelier in Connecticut. Each gown is cut to more than thirty of the bride’s measurements and sewn from French and Italian silks and laces, never a size off the rack. Necklines, sleeves, silhouettes and trains can all be tailored to the bride.
