Effective July 11, 2026
Modern Trousseau (“we,” “us”) is a made-to-measure bridal house with a flagship salon at 1564 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20007. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit moderntrousseau.com or book an appointment with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Appointment bookings — when you book through our scheduling provider (Acuity Scheduling / Squarespace Scheduling), we receive your name, email address, phone number, appointment details, and any notes you share about your wedding.
- Newsletter — if you join our mailing list, your email address (and name, if provided) is stored with our email provider, Flodesk, and used to send collection updates and atelier news. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Purchases & fittings — details you provide in the salon (measurements, gown selections, payment through our payment processor, Square) are used solely to create and deliver your gown.
- Contacting us — if you email or call, we keep the correspondence needed to respond and serve you.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location by region, device type). Google may set cookies for this purpose.
- Session analytics — we use Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymized interactions such as scrolling, clicks, and heatmaps to help us improve the site experience. These recordings mask keystrokes and are not used to identify you personally.
- Advertising measurement — where we run campaigns (for example Google Ads or Meta), those platforms may set cookies to measure whether an ad led to a visit or booking.
- Technical logs — our hosting and content-delivery providers (including Cloudflare) log IP addresses and requests for security and performance.
How we use information
We use your information to schedule and prepare for your appointments, design and deliver your gown, respond to enquiries, send the newsletter you asked for, keep the website fast and secure, and understand which pages help brides most. We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your details with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers who make the experience work: Acuity/Squarespace (scheduling), Flodesk (email), Square (payments), Google and Microsoft (analytics), our web hosting and Cloudflare (delivery and security). Each provider processes your data under its own privacy safeguards and only on our behalf. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies & your choices
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site will still work. To opt out of Google Analytics you can use Google’s browser add-on; to stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics cookies may still function, but you may contact us to have your information removed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including Virginia, California, and the EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Write to us at the address below or email info@moderntrousseau.com and we will respond within the time your local law requires.
Retention & security
We keep booking and gown records only as long as needed to serve you and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Access to your information is limited to the small team who needs it, and our providers encrypt data in transit.
Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
