Modern Trousseau’s flagship sits at 1564 Wisconsin Avenue NW, in the heart of Georgetown — a wedding dress store built on a simple conviction: a bridal gown should be made for the woman who wears it, not the other way around. An American couture house since 1986, we design and hand-sew every gown in our own Connecticut atelier, working in French and Italian fabrics and laces. Made-to-measure means your gown is cut to your measurements from the start, and nearly everything — neckline, skirt, trim — can be changed until it is unmistakably yours. Designer collections begin around $2,500 to $5,000, with made-to-measure couture from $5,000 to $8,000 and beyond.
Every visit is a private appointment: about an hour with a dedicated stylist, just you and the people you bring. Alongside our gowns — including classic and curvy collections — you’ll find veils and accessories chosen to complete the picture. Brides come to us from across the DMV, from Arlington and Alexandria to Bethesda and Rockville; metered street parking sits on and near Wisconsin Avenue, with paid garages close by.
